Local Community Action Groups

There are several groups that have formed to focus on community building, climate change and sustainability within local areas.

  • West Hobart – A recently convened group looking at climate change. Contact Margaret Steadman by email or on 6234 5566.
  • Cygnet – Community group looking at ways to cultivate a sustainable community. Contact Jay Turner for more info. 
  • Channel - Aiming to increase accessibility, ease and enjoyment of sustainable living and community. For more info visit www.southchannelsustainableliving.wikidot.com
  • Waterworks Road – The core objectives of this group are reducing carbon footprints and nourishing community spirit. More info on the web at www.waterworksvalley.com or by email
